Eligibility
The Qualification is open to all retailers.
Membership of The Flooring Guild is not a pre-requisite.
Costings
There are 3 elements to the costings – enrolment, training and formal testing. Currently the following costs will apply.
Enrolment
Enrolment in the programme costs £200.00 per person plus VAT.
Each “student” receives an information pack containing a high quality printed
Product Manual and interactive CD-ROMs, with further materials available over
the Internet.
Training
Training may not be necessary for certain candidates who have acquired the appropriate level of knowledge and competence through experience. Where help is required, it will be available from various sources including existing suppliers who are prepared to provide training that is consistent with the qualification criteria.
This will include factory visits and in-store training sessions conducted by sales representatives at no cost to the retailer.
Where additional in-depth training is required, this will be available
through approved Flooring Guild training providers on a nominal charge basis.
Special rates are available for Flooring Guild Members as part of their
membership benefits.
There is also a Self-Study programme that enables candidates to acquire
knowledge at a time and place of their own choice.
Distance Learning Programme
Although many retailers realise the advantages of training, releasing staff
for even a day to attend a course can be difficult so we are pleased to offer a
Self-Study programme to make it that bit easier.
Candidates can learn at their own pace and, since the programme is completely
modular, you can choose the one or ones that they want - and perhaps try the
others later when you are ready.
The cost to Flooring Guild members is just £180 plus VAT per module
